Theorem Solutions latest Intergraph SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) to JT CADverter has been designed specifically to bridge the gap between the world of SP3D and Mechanical CAD. Normally these two design disciplines are worlds apart but when they do overlap issues can arise.
The most common issues being the incompatible data formats that exist between the SP3D and MCAD systems.
A solution to this problem is the use of JT, Siemens Digital Visualization and Interoperability format now strategically chosen by Intergraph to meet the interoperability requirements for Mechanical CAD.
The Siemens applications such as JT2GO and Teamcenter Visualization are commonly used in the world of mechanical design to perform design verification activities and are also used to share data. The SP3D to JT CADverter enables the SP3D user to combine data from both mechanical design systems and the Intergraph Smart Plant 3D application allowing reviews of combined datasets to be performed in SP3D. In addition it enables the SP3D user to route pipe work and electrical harness systems to the mechanical CAD data and achieve connectivity and ensure no clashes occur.
